The research aims to introduce cultural references and their role in enriching poetic texts in the works of Ibn Hatimel, Ibn Al-Makhlaaf Al-Sulaimani, who is considered one of the most prominent poets of the Abbasid era and the foremost poet in southern Arabia. It explores how he employed his diverse cultural references, which formed a wellspring from which the poet drew his poetic material that permeated his thought process and constituted a foundational building block shaping his creative poetic output.consequently. The researcher deemed it essential to examine the various mechanisms the poet utilized to understand, employ, and adapt these references, attempting to produce them in alignment with his unique personal experience
