Covid 19 and the response policy of the health system and international organizations among displaced students in the Republic of Yemen

Abstract

   The aim of the research is to know the response policy provided by both the Yemeni health system, as well as international organizations to the displaced students. In Yemen, two questionnaires have been prepared: the first is for doctors and workers in the Yemeni health sector, and the second is directed to staff of international organizations to assess the level of response provided by the Yemeni health system and international organizations towards the displaced students. A number of local, Arab and international reports issued by Organizations that explain the level and type of response they provided towards the displaced, and the research came out with the following results: Doctors and health sector workers evaluated the response policy provided by the Yemeni health system with a medium degree, while the evaluation of the international organizations' staff of the response policy provided by international organizations towards the displaced students was highly rated.

   By analyzing reports that the Yemeni health system has taken some measures, such as: closing schools and stopping studies, and closing many places where people gather such as: wedding halls, games, restaurants and bakeries, coordination has also been made with some international organizations to develop a plan to confront Covid 19, as it was found that those organizations It has carried out many activities and procedures, including: conducting awareness campaigns in the displacement sites, in Aden, Shabwa, and Taiz, and establishing isolation centers in Ma’rib governorate, in addition to training many medical personnel who stand in the front lines to confront Covid 19, purchasing the necessary equipment and devices to combat the disease, and providing foodstuffs to thousands Displaced people in Aden, Sana'a and Marib, providing financial support, purchasing pandemic vaccine, rehabilitating a number of health centers and providing them with the necessary equipment.
