The effect of teaching an educational unit designed effectiveness of the simulation strategy in the development of phonological awareness skills among students third grades of basic education ,in the capital Sana'a, adopted the curriculum (semi-experimental), and to achieve the goal of the study, the study tools were prepared and presented to eighteen linguist arbitrators specialized in the curricula of the Arabic language and teaching methods to evaluate and validate them. The sample of the study was made up of one experimental group of twenty students of the third grade, randomly selected from the Martyr Al-Qardai School, which was selected in a deliberate way to represent the sample of the study. The results of the study showed a statistical difference at 0.05 between the mean performance of the study sample in the pre-test and posttest of phonological awareness skills at the level of related and separate skills, in favor of the posttest. This indicates that there is a noticeable weakness in the sample of the study prior to the application of experimental treatment. In the light of the results, a number of recommendations have been made, including: the inclusion of a training module for pupils in the third grade of basic education to train pupils in phonological awareness skills.
