Begging for the Elderly: A Painful Reality (Causes, Effects, and Solutions)

The study aimed to identify the factors that led to the beggary of the elderly, and to reveal the effects of the individual and societal beggary of the elderly, and the study also aimed to reach a set of solutions to limit the spread of this phenomenon. The researcher used the descriptive analytical method to describe the phenomenon, and the interview and observation tool to collect data on the phenomenon, and a sample of (50) beggars was chosen. The study concluded with the following results:
1- The majority of the sample members are between 60 and 69 years old, which is the age most in need of care and attention.
2- There are social, economic, educational and religious reasons that led the elderly to go out to beg.
