Abstract

The study aimed to know the most important academic and administrative obstacles facing postgraduate students at Sana'a University from the point of view of the deputy deans of the faculties and ways to overcome them.

After ensuring the validity and reliability of the study tools، the study was applied to the sample and statistical analysis was conducted through the SPSS program، and many results were reached، the most important of which

The lack of references in college libraries and the central library، and the lack of interest in the practical side of those in charge of postgraduate programs. And "lack of academic courses specialized in the field of scientific research" and the lack of interest of decision makers in the country to employ the results of scientific research and link them to development plans. And the loss of a lot of questionnaires during the field application، which causes them to face the problem of determining the appropriate sample size، in addition to increasing the time period allocated for applying the study tool، and the supervisor’s preoccupation with his teaching duties and the interruption of salaries due to the war in Yemen، which led to the supervisor’s preoccupation with providing the needs of his status and preoccupation with that

Difficulty completing the preparation of the dissertation on time”، due to the lack of money، the lack of sufficient scientific resources، the lack of cooperation of the academic supervisor and the members of the study sample، and the delay in the completion of transactions related to data collection for the study

The research also reached many recommendations، the most important of which are

: The necessity of granting postgraduate students the right to full-time studies، and facilitating all administrative procedures

. Alleviating the requirements، costs، and duties that burden the postgraduate student and negatively affect his learning and academic performance، given that many students are attached to responsibilities.

. Establishing research centers specialized in providing the services needed by postgraduate students during the preparation of research and scientific theses،

Increasing incentives and material rewards for academic supervisors.
