Abstract

This study discusses the scientific and social institutions in Madinah during the sixteenth century. All of these institutions were founded by the Ottoman state. During the mentioned period, the Ottomans established 17 school in Madinah. Some of theme founded by the Ottoman Sultans. The study also touched other institutions like “Takaya” and “Arbita”.
